Frequently asked questions

Why 50-60 and 140-160?
Google truncates titles around 580 px (~50-60 chars) and descriptions around 920 px (~140-160 chars). These ranges keep your snippet from being cut off.
Does Google always use my meta description?
No. Google often rewrites descriptions based on the query. But supplying a strong custom description meaningfully increases the odds it's used verbatim.
