Frequently asked questions
What's annualized ROI?▾
The constant annual return that, compounded over the holding period, reaches the final value: (final/initial)^(1/years) − 1.
Why is annualized lower than total ROI?▾
Because returns compound. A 100% return over 4 years is roughly 19% per year compounded, not 25%.
Includes fees?▾
Subtract fees from the final value (or add to initial) for an after-fee ROI.
